Summary: Dr. Yoon Jung Park is currently an adjunct associate professor in African Studies at Georgetown University, the convener/coordinator of the Chinese in Africa/Africans in China Research Network, and senior research associate in Sociology at Rhodes University (Grahamstown, South Africa). She is widely published on Chinese migration in Africa, Chinese South Africans and issues of identity and affirmative action, and African perceptions of the Chinese. She is currently working on her second book, on Chinese migrants in Africa, as well as a paper focusing on China, Africa, clothing imports and the textile industry.
