Zambia Published Its First Chinese Newspaper – “The Overseas Weekly”

On July 18th, the first Chinese newspaper was launched in the capital city of Zambia – Lusaka.  The purpose of publishing this newspaper is to further promote the development of Chinese enterprises in Zambia and Africa, and to rich overseas Chinese lives.

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Zhou Yuxiao and his wife Wu Jihong, Chinese Embassy Chief Counselor Liu Zhengjie, Business Counselor Chai Zhijing and representatives from other Chinese business councils attended the launching ceremony.  Zambia state television station reported this event on-site.
